The Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres in the Generalate convey their joyful congratulations to Bishop Félicien NTAMBUE kASEMBE.

We assure Mgr. Félicien of our prayers in his new mission.

O God, eternal shepherd of the faithful,

who tend your Church in countless ways and rule us with love.

We thank you for the life and mission of Bishop FELICIEN NTAMBUE KASEMBE.

Grant we pray, that your chosen servant whom you have set

over your people may preside in the place of Christ over the flock whose shepherd he is,

and be faithful as a teacher of doctrine, a priest of sacred worship and as one who serves according to your heart.

We entrust our prayer to Mary, Mother of the Church and ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

SPC Daegu: Pope Francis’ "Program on The Life of Faith”

Like the same serious situation spreading throughout the world generated by Corona virus, Daegu, the most affected city in South Korea, had to face a very painful moment of the incredible rapid increase of the contagions that had caused a lot of sufferings and death.  All schools are closed, and even Masses are suspended.

With this pandemic crisis, our Office for the young people of the Archdiocese of Daegu, organized a faith program activity for the children to make their life meaningful even if they just stay in their respective homes.  This is the “Program of the Life of Faith” inspired by Pope Francis during his message to the young people for the XXXV World Youth Day 2020 which aims to foster their daily faith.

The Archdiocese of Daegu made use of this program of faith of Pope Francis to emphasize the value and richness of each home as domestic Church using online communication through “Kakaotalk” or email from April 12 (Easter Sunday) until May 31 (Pentecost Sunday).

There were more than 800 young participants including the young catechists of the diocese. The youth office updates and sends the requested daily prayer online to the participants everyday which they religiously follow through “Kakaotalk.”

On the second week, we had a prayer activity where we pray for Pope Francis who looks at the world, the church and each of us with the eyes of Christ. With this activity, many messages of prayers filled with support and love from the youth really came.

I hope that the hearts of these young people of the Archdiocese of Daegu will be united in the name of solidarity with Pope Francis and the Church in these difficult times.
